Tonight is the opening of MEMORIES OF THE FUTURE, the first Solo show by Kruella D'Enfer (Angela Ferreira) at Carhartt Lisboa, Bairro Alto, at 9 PM.

MEMORIES OF THE FUTURE is the result of Kruella D'Enfer fascination and obsession with the occult, supernatural world and about the idea of having the past and the future written in the form of enigmatic symbols.
This idea of following a destiny path in the cosmos, in the cards, in the palm of your hand, led to a study of this visual universe, from where came the characters who dwell in her illustrations and which dominate the pieces that are exposed at Carhartt.

Kruella D'Enfer proposes in this project to reinterpret these symbols, rewriting somehow her future through an unknown universe in the tarot cards, creating a unique language that will make us travel through hidden places of our mind, creating memories of the future with her illustrations...

The works presented in this exhibiton are original, hand-painted with a mixed media technique, exclusively for this show.

Kixnare is a Dj and Producer from Krakow, Poland. He collaborated with many figures of Polish hip hop scene and those were a big inspiration to him. He has established his position in the list of the most creative producers in Poland. Since then his producers' skills are increasingly experimenting with electronics, new beats, soul, hip-hop. 

"Digital Garden" was released on CD and double vinyl in cooperation with U KNOW ME Records. 

This is not a fresh new album, but after finding his new tune Dreamin' (i'll share with you next), i found this, and i had to share it first !

Daniel Looker Chevalier  aka Sesshins from Facemelt is a young upcoming talent from San Francisco.

He plays some experimental beats, psychedelic Hip Hop, Jazzy Dubs.. Strange but amazing combination of different beats that makes it really unique.

All his songs are recorded live into logic then bounced out, he never uses or used any sort of sequencer/pattern creator stuff, all un-quantized, un-sequenced live beats, and available for the download!

The Branches  is the sensational album of the Russian Dj - Long Arm. Is one of the biggest albums of 2011!
Released by the label Project MoonCircle, which has as its focus the production of electronic music, experimental and alternative hip-hop, the album is a huge convergence of sounds, different genres and periods, which when exposed by the skillful hands of the Russian producer result in a kind of unique sound.
It has big influences of hip hop, jazz, downtempo and soul music.

"Long Arm took up music when he was a kid. In music school he studied how to play piano. He was really impressed by a DJ’s perfomance on one of the music channels when he saw it for the first time. It was difficult to get a turntable back then, so Long Arm and his friend started making them from old soviet phonographs/record players and collecting vintage vinyl records. Long Arm devoted all his free time to listening to those records. He spent his university years writing his own tracks, playing in various bands and participating in different projects. After his graduation he began working in Intelligent genre. His lifelong passion for jazz influenced his whole music style.

“The Branches” album is a reflection of a world, where human feelings and natural powers are bound together. Everything is correlated in this world. There is no alive-dead distinction. The season change depends just on state of mind. Every move, every wind breath, every sound brings an information, opened for everyone who believes and ready to accept it, who hears and knows how to listen."

“I used to get home from school and spend hours making little lo-fi loops and songs using the primitive riff editor on my PlayStation. I used to use an mp3 player with an inbuilt microphone to record conversations with friends and sounds with interesting dynamics and tonality. I’d collect them all up, get home, and spend hours at the computer making music out of all the random recordings. I think that’s why Ive always liked being a solo artist because it gives me the freedom to do specifically what I want to do.”

A thing that i've actualy noticed, is that he is making new tunes all the time, it seems like he never sleeps! that is really love for his work, and it's such a goood work!

S e p a l c u r e . Fleur

Fleur is the the latest and amazing EP from Sepalcure. They blend ambient soundscapes with lush melodies, hushed vocals and a deep, experimental post-dubstep sound that’s quite frankly, really rather wonderful. You may recognise them from their former constituent parts – Machinedrum (Travis Stewart) and Praveen (Praveen Sharma) – but the Brooklyn based duo, have really come into their own as Sepalcure. They first emerged from the undergrowth using the new moniker late last summer with their Love Pressure EP, which stunned audiences across the globe and now they return with the highly anticipated follow up Fleur.

Kicking off with the EP’s title track, Sepalcure send us into a sublime headspace which is somewhere between contemporary hot shots like Mount Kimbie, Pariah and fellow yanks Vondelpark and Ninja Stalwarts like Cinematic Orchestra.
